What do wood, concrete and copper have in common? These three materials are very different in visual terms – but they share a common property. As the years pass, they change and increasingly develop their own individual character. This was also what motivated retired ski racer Alexandra Meissnitzer to draw on these materials for her apartment in Salzburg: this very distinctive patina that the surfaces develop over time. Just as the occupants of a space lend it its own, unmistakeable ambiance over the years.
